Well its been awhile-HAPPY 4TH!!!!!:)

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!!!! We did :)
We had a cookout-which was oh so nummy, I made a jello with whip cream on top-BIG HIT! LOLOL :) Go figure that one -eh? ;)

Then we headed out to Brigham to see the firework show-which is always awesome. The only thing missing was Papa and Nana:( We sure miss them :( The band played Fiddler on the Roof during the hour we were waiting. I thought of my Dad-doing his dance:"if I were a rich man" and I found myself smiling. :)

Fireworks started at 10 and they were marvelous. I always get chooked up when hearing America songs-one that stood out was really good"Here in America..In God We Still Stand" oh it was beautiful!!!!!It pulled at my heart. We are sure a blessed country-we sure are a blessed people arent we. Blair has been quoted as saying the true worth of a country is counted as to how many people are trying to get out and how many people are trying to get in. Doesnt take much to realize how blessed we truly are does it? Lisa-a blogger friend posted The Declaration-and yes I too beleieve it was Truly inspired of God:but we should all read it again, and again, and again.....

THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776.
The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.


We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.--Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.


But the night went great. The fireworks were right on top of us. The kids all layed down and just had to look up-they thought that was wonderful. Monkey boy was all giggles-he enjoyed them soo much and would roll over with excitement-LOLOL Stinger lay still as a statue with a big grin plastered on his face-too funny-but def in his moment. And then Flamingo-asking when it would be over as she was bored-LOLOLOL. HUH? LOLOLOLOL

But very nice-very nice indeed :)

Today has been a sad day for Flamingo-and me as well just seeing her heart break again and again-not being able to comfort her. She has been nursing a baby bird who fell out of its nest for a couple days now. Feeding it water with a Q-tip, catching every kind of bug imagineable to try and feed it. Keeping it out of the sun, talking to it, trying to teach it how to fly back up to the tree where it needed to be. She says they were best friends and she was mourning that friendship she formed with this bird today. She had even named it "caramel"......sigh....

This morning she awoke and checked on her little friend to find him still and cold. She awoke Mom and said his eyes looked funny-not realizing he had died in the night...sigh....We walk over together and that walk was sooo hard to take with her-as I just KNEW what had happend. She looked up at me and tears started to fill her eyes as she asked what was wrong with her little bird friend? She has been fighting back tears all day-as caramel keeps creeping into her mind she says. She wants to hear her bird in Heaven-she wants to talk with her friend as she says her friend is still in her heart :( and she doesnt understand why in Heaven her friend cant talk to her now....

I tell her to smile as her friend is happy now as he is all better and is flying with God now:) Does no good to soothe her hurt inside. I tell her about me as a child trying to nurse baby birds also and feeling so sad when they left. But that they needed their Momma-their Momma was the only thing that could have made them better, even though I had tried as best I could to get them right again-they needed their mothers care and love. I realize nothing I say is going to take that hurt away-so I hold her tightly in my arms as her tears keep falling.

We got a little box lined with tissue paper. We taped it shut and Flamingo wrote "Kamel" on top of the box with a big red heart and signed her name at the bottom. We go out back and dig a hole and layed it to rest in a nice spot. Falmingo says "Be careful flying up in Heaven Caramel." She looks at me and tells me that God will take care of him now. She picked some flowers and put them on top and a twig to mark it. She has since been back to visit that exact spot Id say probably 5 times today......She went to bed tonight sniffing back tears.......

Oh- who knew what a hard job this "Mothering" would be....sigh......

My children teach me every day.....and my heart grows bigger and bigger with each new lesson learned....
