Flamingo and Her Feet.......

Well a new thing has popped up here: We have noticed that Flamingo has something going on with her feet. One look at these pictures and you will see what I mean:






I first noticed this with the new shoes we have bought her. I noticed taht she was standing kinda inward-her foot turned into the side. I thought it was just a stance or something...then the other day I noticed her shoes and my goodness..They are worn out-but just on that one inside foot part. If you look at the pictures you can see one side is completely worn out and its actually been dragging on the ground wearing out. So I told her to take off her shoes and walk and sure enough-her feet turn way in when she is walking-like rolled to the inside-you know what Im talking about? Its kinda hard to explain-hence the pics I took...but this is what I showed the Dr when we went in on Friday. I actually took her shoes in to show him-LOLOLOL.
Anyway-one look at her shoes and I felt a Dr visit was in order.

The Dr said that yep-they are rolled in, but when she took off Flamingos shoes and moved her feet ard moved she felt it wasnt bone we were dealing with-more like some muscle or something and its just how she has been walking, probably for a long time. She said the bone is in the right place as it could be moved to the right place etc...

But since we are really noticing it now that we nee dto have a good look at them and see what is going on, as feet are so important basically we know that right-holding up your body etc, and the more she grows teh more of a problem thsi will be fro her.

So we got a bunch of Xrays done and we waited all weekend to find out what the radiologists prognosis was and what he recommended etc...We got a call today and the radiologist said that the bones were fine, but there is alot of swelling and rolling going on...so he is recommending she go to a pediodiatrist. So we have that scheduled for Nov 2nd. So we will just have to see what he has to say abt all of this....

Interesting...no? BAM-this just shot out of nowhere-eh? Crazy.....Flamingo is concerned she will have to wear a brace or something and then she wont be able to do her sports or clogging or wear shoes. We have told her not to worry and that we dont know what he is going to say so not to worry abt it right now...I think she is just glad she will be ok for her B-day coming up-LOLOLOL.

But anyway-thats what is going on here-that and Monkey Boy stayed home sick tday. Hes been coughing-got it from Stinger who might be staying home tomorrow and now Flamingos throat is hurting..yigh...so goes the sick family circle.....ugh:(

Its been quiet a night tnight. Stinger is upset as he might be missing school, plus he has been doing something I thought he had under control-but apparently not....so he was all upset abt it tnight, so we are scheduling again, me having to remind him what comes naturally for so many of us..but not him.....So we dealt with that for abt an hr.....guess we will start the powder again..sigh.....

I cant really get into it-as I think its personal for him, but I can put into words my feelings on that one-upset, worried, confused, frustrated, sad....just to name a few........I just dont know what to do here.....:( where the heck is the handbook on this one???!!!!

K-Tammy lighten up....quite mopping...just deal and go on......

On a positive note-he is going over to a friends house to play on Friday!! WHOOt!!!!!! It is a boy from hsi school-and they are "buddies" Stinger says-as that word is used for "more than friends- right mom?" Hes way excited! So thats awesome for him-Im soo happy for him:)

Dreaded interview details....LOLOLOL

Well Im sure you all are dying to know how the interview went....
1 word= horrible!!!!

Ugh! Ugh!!! Thats all I can say.....

You know the night before I went over things-my qualifications etc, things I should say...etc..and I went online to see questions etc...now mind you-ALL my past interviews have been layed back, hired on the spot type jobs...all of them....so I guess I went into this thing not sweatying it-thinking it would be the same...I was nervous..but I thought to myself-how hard could this be??Right? WRONG!

I went to this sight online and it had all these deep thinking questions recalling past experiances etc-and I said to myself-geesh-they wont ask me that...but one question stuck out in my mind" Tell us a little bit about yourself"...so I had that one ready as I thought that one might be a possibility....

Well I guess I should tell you abt the job first:

Its a cook position at the local hospital.:) Im soo excited abt it-its something I really think I would like doing. I have experiance in it-Albersons bakery and the year I was a prep cook helper in the kitchen with the Coast Guard. When I found out I was pregnant they put me on light duty because I couldnt be on the boats anymore. So anyway-I thought well they called me so I must be qualified etc....

So....I get there and out comes a lady in med scrubs like things....so Im thinking okay-they dont wear white...so Im way overdressed...so first off I felt way silly...ugh...

But this lady was very nice and we proceded to the offices part of the Hospital as we needed the resource lady (who was still in a meeting)so we sat down waiting for her and we started chit chatting about things-family, school, etc-I still had no idea who she actually was.....lOLOLOL, but she was nice and it was very comforteable talking with her and we got along really well....

Then the board meeting gets done and in walks the resource lady and pulls out a stack of papers with the dreaded questions I had seen online. Guess which question they started out with....any guesses....."Tell us a little bit about Yourself.. " Well phew-I had that one covered remember...but then the rest totally threw me off...so it was horrible...I think I did okay-but could have done better if I had studied better.

Ive just NEVER had that sort of interview before..so live and learn...Dh says every interview is better practice for the next one-so not to worry abt this one...but I really want this job. So I hope I made a good impression with my personality and quals and they dont go too much on the questions...LOLOL-yeah...right...but I can dream-right?LOLOLOL

At the end they asked me if I had any questions and I had read online that its not good to say "no" so I asked them what a typical day would look like and I could tell they were surprised and they both said that was a very good question...so maybe that will stick in their minds....hoping....

But I did find out that the lady who I was talking with at first and then with the resource lady,(she was asking questions too)is a cook there and I got along really well with her-so maybe just maybe I will get it...keep your fingers crossed...:)

They said a recruiter???will contact me early next week..so we shall see....

Ugh-but what an experience....geesh....glad it is OVER...LOLOLOL

Halloween? All year?

K-Im about all boned out.....if any of you havent witnessed the skull/bones craze going on, you must just be hanging out with the wrong crowd...LOLOL;)....
Its EVERYWHERE.......and my kids(except Stinger) are on the band wagon.....sigh...
Some parents dont agree with it...Our kids have been ard it since the craze of "Ghost Rider" starring Nicolas Cage...LOLOL-so I got it a bit with Monkey Boy then...but this is all new and its incorporating the girly girls now too....

They are called "Monster High"-kids that supposedly have come from Dracula, Frankenstein etc...I think they are cute-kinda like the Bratz craze....









She wants to be Draculaura for Halloween too...yigh....I just dont know abt my little girl in fish nets though...LOLOLOL

But anyway-I went to all the "stores" to see what all they had and everyone is going out of stock on these....I mean they(the dolls) are selling for $16.99 and people are paying up to 40 $ for them as they are dissappearing from the shelves even online...Walmart...gone. Target....gone. Kmart....gone....ToysR Us has a few...but Im sure they are gone now too...I actually lucked out and nabbed some last night online at F A O Schwarz-for a reasoneable price-$17) but going this early...forget abt finding them at Christmas time....

Anyway-thats the craze and I dont understand it...I think its harmless...so I dont mind it or my kids having the stuff...

I was looking online for Christmas too and ran into a fun sight that had all the 80'3 crazes-and I got a good chuckle out of Garbage Pail kids etc..LOLOLOL

So we had our moments too I guess...each era has its own....

Stingers 1st Game!!!!

Well Monday was the big day!!!

I think Dh and I were more worried abt it than Stinger was....LOLOLOL But he did tell me he was thinking bat it ALL day long....LOLOLOL
We got there early for pictures then the game started. All I can say is -W-O-W!!
The coach had them all playing different positions and different plays...and I tell ya-talk abt Football being a complicated sport...yikes....but Stinger did SO well!!!!
Seams all the boys on the team except Stinger and another boy are pretty familiar with football and the rules etc and plays and things....but Stinger is picking it up so much better than I thought he would. It might take him an extra second-but towards the middle of the game he was on it:) WHOOT!!!!
And the other boys-Im so pleasantly surprised-what I thought would be a real struggle is fine-its fine:) I was watching everyone really close-so was dh, and we could both tell the boys are still trying to figure Stinger out, maybee noticing something a little different. But its not stopping them from including him and inviting him over to practise with them and things. They are accepting him, and hes having a ball:) Hes actually really enjoying it and says hes having fun;) Can you believe it-his first sport in 3 years since we tried Karate amd Soccer-both turned out to be a misereable experiance for him and I-but now he is just getting out there and enjoying himself.

Yikes-I dont know how much more of this proud Momma thing I can take ...LOLOL-Each and every day hes just making himself coax out of his shell and hes just finding out all kinds of things that he never knew before....Im soooo happy for him and soo happy that he is finally finding something he enjoys doing and is reaching outside his fears and being so social- I just cant get over it!!

Tired...so Tired....

Well Im a slacker-I feel like one lately.....but I know why-Im sick:(

Yesterday morning and today I have went back to bed after I dropped Stinger off at school. Something I never do-I usually try and read my Bible fro a bit....I didnt want to wake up and do my excersises...Yigh...I've been way tired and in slow-mo fro teh past couple of days-and now I know why at least....Im all congested and it feels like I have a brain cloud in my head...feel a sore throat coming on as well-Flamingo has it too-prob from me or vice-versa...who knows where we picked it up? I just hope Stinger and the rest of the family dont get it-Stinger would be sooo upset having to miss school-yeah can you believe it??!!! He actually was wishing it lasted into the weekend last week-LOLOL-Is that cool or what??

But I thought Id update on Flamingos and Stingers first practices:)

Flamingo was so excited and we met everyone and the teacher-AWESOME teacher by the way!!She teaches Kindergarden-if that tells you anything-Flamingo just loves her:) She actually taught them 5 steps-TAUGHT them-whereas the other teacher just plopped Flamingo into a routine etc-so this is going at a slower pace-which is perfect for all of the girls just starting:)She dumped out a box of shoes for the girls to take home and practice in-if they fit. Flamingo found a pair-pretty worn out, but taps work;)LOLOLOL, so she took them home and she has been outside in the driveway practising away every day now...LOLOL-she loves it:)

Stinger met his coach and the other 7 kids. I was like a hawk watching from afar....SOOOOOOOOOOOO many times I wanted to jump in and say to the coach "Stinger doesnt understand this...you have to tell Stinger this...etc..." But I held back-I have decided not to say anything abt Stinger and his being an Aspie-I talked it over with Stinger and its HIS call, who he wants to know....he doesnt want anyone to know and then treat him different...so I held back...geesh that was hard......yigh....watching him stand there for abt 5 times not realising he needed to run too when they were lined up doing plays etc-but he caught on...he came over to get a drink, as coach said they could take a break,and he was sweating all down his hair line and was sporting the biggest grin I have seen in a long while from him:).......at least as far as playing with other children are concerned......WHOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He did SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO well-Im SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO proud of him!!!!!!He said he didnt understand much of what coach was saying, but heck-you couldnt tell hardly...ya know...what a trooper-eh?Gosh-words dont describe the feelings I had when I was watching him out there. ...wow-thats all I can say.....:) That and smile:)

Dh took off early and practised with him outside when he got home and explained things to him a bit...then they both went inside and dh helped him with his spelling homework :) He actually realized something that I had never thought abt with Stinger. He said Stinger needs to SEE the words in his head, not write them to learn them. Thats how dh learns things....So he went over and over them orally with him and Stinger was just spouting them off to him:) WOW-eh? Crazy I never realized this-I knew he was a visual, spacial learner but I never thought abt that with the spelling-doing it orally. I had tried doing dif colors, etc, things like that -it never occured to me to verbally learn them.....crazy cool though-eh?
What a great Dad-eh? Stinger got 100% on his pre-test today and because of that he has no homework tnight and no test tom:) Boy! Was he happy abt that!
Dh is taking off on Mon to watch Stingers first flag football game...should be interesting....Im nervous.....but dh is going to practise with him all weekend:)So he will be AWESOME!!! :) Cant wait!!

I think a certain Daddy has been missing the Stinger boy-dont you?? He keeps telling me that I took him away(Mrs D)...and I say-no you took him away....LOLOLOL, but geesh-he is just doing AWESOME in school and boy-talk abt knowing and seeing that we made the right choice pulling him out of school when we did and homeschooling for so long-he now has the confidence he needs and in his mind he can do anything he sets his heart to do-which is all we ever wanted:) Hes happy at school-hes got friends he plays with at school, he MISSES school, hes trying new things-things that are scary and new. Hes realizing that some of these things that he once thought of as bad-actually make him happy now:)What more could you ask for than a happy boy like that???I tell ya-nothing!

VERY good week-busy..but oh so worth it in every way:)

Busy...Busy....Bees

Well thought Id update this thing...Im way tired tonight. I soo did not want to do my excercizing this morning-but dh was there and did his so that was motivating me to get up:)So I got my excercising done. WHOOT:) We are all still doing our "Road To 100 pushups" workouts too every other day. The goal is to get to 100 pushups with out any breaks....yeah right..but getting there day by day. You do reps and its supposed to get you there....Yesterday total reps was 215-yeah cant believe it can you-LOLOLOL, I cant either...LOLOLOL. But this is how its set up like every day-grad getting longer etc...-resting 60 sec. after every rep-20,rest,20,rest, 23,23,20,20,18,18,then at least53, etc....crazy eh-but little by little we are getting there...Flmaingo has dropped out-it got to be too much for her-dh was mainly doing it for the boys and him...but Im sticking with it...:)So BRAVO Brittons!! Eh??!!:)

Stinger got signed up for Flag Football today-we went and met his coach and it looks like quiet fun-its the first season for it ard here-so they have a big mix of ages-so we figured this would be good for Stinger-hes excited, but VERY nervous...but he did AWESOME today meeting the coach. The coach gave him a strong grip handshake and Stinger introduced himself and shook his hand firmly back-it was soo AWESOME!!!! small steps...but AWESOME BIG steps for Stinger....So we shall see how it goes.....Stinger desperately wants a trophy like his other siblings....so if he sticks it out he will get one too:)Anyway-I was WAY proud Momma bear tday;)We have practise tmorrow.

Flamingo has her first clogging class(ok well second) long story-we have decided to switch places-her one friend backed out and she was left in a class where she didnt know anyone...but still wanted to take it,so we found another place with Mrs D's girls-and Flamingo is just thrilled. She says she really likes it-so Im excited abt tmorrow:)I went online and tried to learn some things-as I took ballet, tap, and jazz as a child-but everything is called dif things and its really hard...really fast..LOLOLOL so hopefully she will take to it better than I did:)LOLOLOLOl which Im sure she will:)

Monkey Boy is still in Soccer-and still loving it:)He sure gets in there and tries to get the ball-I think hed be really good at this flag football...but both would be too much for him right now...and me;)LOLOLOL, but hes enjoying it:)

My days are all tending to run together...my weeks are as follows:yigh...LOLOLOL

Monday-take Stinger to school/pick up, soccer practises,flag football game
Tues-Stinger take and pick up, then free-whoot!
Wed-Stinger take and pick,clogging at 4, soccer game at 5:30, flag football practise at 6(luckily at same place)
Thurs-Stinger take and pick,Soccer game
Fri-Stinger take and pick-then free-whoot!

Doesnt seam so bad when I write it-LOLOLOL, but it feels like Im running ard all day...LOLOLOL
Man..Im missing Summer already-but Im loving the cooler weather in the morning and evening-LUV it!!There is nothing like a hard workout in the morning then going outside and feeling the cool breeze wash over you and cool you down as I wait for the dogs to go potty:)LOLOLOL Luv it!! Doesnt take much ard here to put a smile on my face does it?LOLOLOL

hundreds of birds Taking advantage of the Continuous flow of free and Easily
accessible food.



But then the birds started
Building nests in the boards
Of the patio, above the table,
And next to the barbecue.



Then came the poop. It was
Everywhere: on the patio tile,
The chairs, the table ..
Everywhere!



Then some of the birds
Turned mean. They would
Dive bomb me and try to
Peck me even though I had
Fed them out of my own
Pocket.



And others birds were
Boisterous and loud. They
Sat on the feeder and
Squawked and screamed at
All hours of the day and night
And demanded that I fill it
When it got low on food.



After a while, I couldn't even
Sit on my own back porch
Anymore. So I took down the
Bird feeder and in three days
The birds were gone. I cleaned
Up their mess and took down
The many nests they had built
All over the patio.



Soon, the back yard was like
It used to be .... Quiet, serene....
And no one demanding their
Rights to a free meal.



Now let's see.
Our government gives out
Free food, subsidized housing,
Free medical care and free
Education, and allows anyone
Born here to be an automatic
Citizen.



Then the illegal's came by the
Tens of thousands. Suddenly
Our taxes went up to pay for
Free services; small apartments
Are housing 5 families; you
Have to wait 6 hours to be seen
By an emergency room doctor;
Your child's second grade class is
Behind other schools because
Over half the class doesn't speak
English.



Corn Flakes now come in a
Bilingual box; I have to
'press one ' to hear my bank

Labor Day------Yumm!

Well yesterday, actually all weekend was fun ard here-we all enjoyed sleeping in and doing.....absolutely nothing...Which is rare ard here.Especially now that its soccer season....Flamingo has games at 8:30 in the morning starting this Saturday-on a SATURDAY!! How crazy is that one??!! But anyway-the kids all had to be woken up in the mornings-all tuckerd out from the 1st week back at school-no one stayed up past 10:30 either-which is VERY strange indeed...but no complaints here;)LOLOL

Last night was a really good day though-we watched some movies and dh went down to Brigham and got us a KFC feast, then we finished off with some really sweet yummy watermelon. So we had a really good Labor Day-its so nice to have dh home for every holiday-which is a given:)

Flamingo has her first clogging class tom-right before Monkeys Soccer game. So it will be a day of running ard again... But she is so excited!! :)

Monkey is doing absolutely fabulous in Soccer( this is his first year) He is getting right in there and always on his toes when the ball comes-he really likes the running:)Good energy work off too-Id say;)LOLOL

Stinger is just really enjoying his new school-WHOOT!! And Im getting very good comments abt his behavior and his work-so Dh and I are just thrilled:)He actually said it was a bit lonely today without his friend there-I guess both boys were not there-BUT WOW!! Actually playing with these kids-Incredible-eh?WHOOT!!He said before he went to bed tnight that he hopes they are there tomorrow:) I cant believe it!!SOOO Cool!!!!!

So everything is going good on the home front:)

We sold our white pup-cookie. It was just getting really hard to house break 2 pups at the same time-LOLOL But Brownie and Puddin are sure doing well together. Puddin is all dried up now-so they are just play fighting and pouncing and chasing each other. I actually think Puddin is relieved at not being pulled on any longer...LOLOL
But she is growing like a weed-she kinda reminds me of a great dane body right now-she is all legs. It should be interesting to see how she turns out. But her personality is sweet as pie-very loving-shes a dear:)

Dh and I are getting in quiet time in the mornings which is nice and we are both doing really well with our excercising:)Its gotten into a nice relaxing routine..but still Im waiting for that call...and its NOT happening....sigh....sheesh...what does someone have to do to get a job these days????geesh!So until then Ill just enjoy-right?Right! :)

1st Day of School

Well....tday was a whirlwind of emotion-running ard, then being worried, going crazy with the QUIET...LOLOLOL-luckily I was busy cooking those monster cookies for the kids and I didnt have much time. I had abt an hr to cook those 3 big things-but they were finished by the time they all came home tday:)

Mornings are def quiet ard here when the kids all go off to school....dh and I can relax though together and enjoy it, but it is REAL quiet...LOLOLOLbut it is nice to be alone and talk. We are both helping each other stay motivated in our workouts in teh morning-which is nice as I really struggle to keep going and vice versa...okay-he doesnt have such a prob-but I like him here motivating me...LOLOLOL :P

I had to run to Brigham and return my cop application-it came back in the mail-luckily before the dead line(31st)-seams I forgot a Suite number or something...brother..but I got that done tday..Im REALLY hoping I get this job...okay..really...any job...LOLOL-sheesh...but it would be nice to get this one, ya know...

So I finally got the cookies done after dh left for work and rushed off to pick up Stinger. He was all smiles.....compared to the doom and gloom look he was giving when I dropped him off this morning...He went on and on abt what fun he had, how he really likes Mrs. D, and how he thinks this school is really great!!I felt like dancing in the streets-he kept laughing at me -I guess because I was so happy...LOLOLOL Id say" Arent you happy?" and hed just giggle and smile....if you know Stinger than you know just what that did to me inside....WHOOT!!!
I know I made the right choice when tnight doing homework he was trying so hard to write neatly-something he would never do for me..Oh Im praying this continues...but it was a BIG success tday! WHOOT!!

When I dropped Flamingo off this morning-she was "See Ya"...sigh..Monkey Boy was the same way-I even had to ASK for a hug and kiss from him....LOLOLOL Ugh-that tore out my heart..LOLOLOL But they both came back all smiles and said their teachers were great and Flamingo especially says her teacher is an "artist" and will be great fun doing art projects:)She was dreading this teacher-you know how kids talk and she had heard "scary" things abt her...LOLOL

Flamingo had soccer practise tnight and I had to wake her up to go-she had plowed right out on the couch downstairs...She said she didnt want to do soccer anymore....well a little late gily...sigh....maybe she was just tired....we shall see...shes excited to start her clogging classes though...

Those huge cookies were waiting for the kids when they got home and they loved them-but they have hardly made a dent in them-those cookies I fear will be ard awhile...something I didnt quiet think through...LOLOL O well-the kids loved them-so its all good:)LOLOLOLOL
